On September 8th 2023, Covanta awarded MARTIN the contract to supply the combustion system for the Pasco County waste-to-energy plant in Florida.
A fourth line will be added to expand the existing plant. This will increase the facility's daily capacity of 1,050 metric tons by another 495 metric tons, thus making an important contribution to the efficient and clean disposal of residual waste in Florida.
For this project, Covanta again places its trust in the reliable and highly efficient MARTIN combustion system. The core component of the plant will be a 3-run reverse-acting grate with a throughput capacity of up to 495 metric tons per day and a gross heat release of approximately 55 MW.
MARTIN is proud to continue a long-standing and successful cooperation with Covanta and Pasco County and is looking forward to bringing this project to fruition together with all partners involved.
